Objectives
To contribute towards advanced training of an interdisciplinary and “trans-scale” nature on the theme of Democracy in the twenty first century, through an integrated perspective combining the rationality of social, political and juridical sciences, as also a critical analysis of the challenges posed by globalization and interculturality to the models and practice of democracy experienced throughout the twentieth century.
The PhD Programme in Governance, Knowledge and Innovation takes place biennially and is at present accepting applications. Applications for the academic year of 2007/2008 will be accepted until 15th September. Those received until 15th May or until 15th July will be evaluated on these dates. The remainder will be evaluated in September.
