Biographic notes

Klaus Dörre (University of Jena/Germany) develops work on development of capitalism issues. In His more recent studies he has dedicated himself to the following issues: Is there a new lower class in our society? What is the future of labour relations in the context of globalization? What role (will) have China and India in the global economy? What are the causes, consequences and subjective interpretations of labour precariousness? How can European right wing populism be combated?

Reinhard Naumann (Friedrich Ebert Foundation) represents the é Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Portugal. Besides studies conducted in the field of trade unionism in Portugal and Germany (focusing on its implementation in the field, its relation with political parties, its programmatic orientations, etc.), he has organized, in Portugal and abroad, numerous seminars on present day issues concerning Portuguese and European realities.
