Resumo
	This interdisciplinary project aims to bring to light the so-called lost cities in the Brazilian Amazon by analyzing and comparing their existence and perception during the twentieth century up until the present time. Our main argument is directed toward the ambiguity of the notions of lost and city confronting different assumptions of those meanings among the actors that were affected by developmentalist policies.
Resultados
	The following outputs are expected during the proposed three years project: • publication of scientific papers in leading peer-reviewed journals •  publication of a special issue about Lost Cities in the Amazon organized by the 3 applicants in order to edit a book in the near future. • conclusion of 2 Ph.D. theses connected to the project • organizing panel sessions in multiple events • making a short film about Lost Cities in the Amazon • attending the main events in the field, including Gerda Henkel Lost Cities Conference • hosting a workshop about lost cities in the Amazon in Germany, with academic and non-academic guests with expertise related to the Amazon.
