Tools for Tourism 4.0: Novas Ferramentas para a atividade turística

Within the context of the CREATOUR project, this 30-hour course aims to provide participants with theoretical knowledge about Tourism Program 4.0 and technical knowledge on how to create interactive tourism activities using an Augmented Reality tool. In addition, it aims to provide practical skills to explore the different potentialities of Webmapping and Augmented Reality as new tools for tourism activity. This Summer School is intended for employees of municipal councils and tourist offices, and institutions and professionals who carry out activities linked to tourism. It is also open to the participation of the general public and university students.
Note: This course will be taught in Portuguese.
The course is structured in 6 modules for a total workload of 30 hours:
1 - Introduction to Tourism Program 4.0 (C.H. 3 hours) - Miguel Pereira (Lab2PT/University of Minho);
2 - Identification and acquisition of tourist resources (C.H. 7 hours) - Ricardo Gôja (Lab2PT/University of Minho);
3 - Database structuring (C.H. 5 hours) - Maurício Silva (I.B.G.E. and University of Minho);
4 - GIS applied to tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Vítor Ribeiro (Lab2PT/University of Minho) and Carlos Alves (Lab2PT/University of Minho);
5 - Webmapping in tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Vítor Ribeiro (Lab2PT/University of Minho); and
6 - Elaboration of an Augmented Reality app applied to tourism (C.H. 5 hours) - Miguel Pereira (Lab2PT/University of Minho).
