André-Jean Arnaud

André-Jean Arnaud is a Doctor of Law, Director of the Recherche Émérite au C.N.R.S., member of the Centre de Théorie du Droit from Université de Paris X, Director of the Réseau Européen Droit et Société, Director of the GEDIM of the Programme MOST/UNESCO in Rio de Janeiro, member of the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme de Paris.

He is also a Professor from the Académie Européenne de Théorie du Droit (Chaire É. Bruylant), former Founding-Director and Honorary Life Member of the Governing Board from the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law, Honorary Professor from Universidad Externado de Colombia (Bogotá), Honorary Vice-President of the Research Committee on Sociology of Law (I.S.A.), Honorary Fellow of the Global Studies Research Program (American Law and Society Association), Honorary Fellow of the Institute for Legal Studies (University of Wisconsin, Madison), member of the Brazilian Lawyers Institute and Chairman of the Association Française Droit et Société.

He is the author of several books and articles on various issues related to Sociology of Law.
