Nina Pacari Vega Conejo is graduated in political and social sciences, is a lawyer and holds a doctorate in jurisprudence.
Presently, she is the Minister for Foreign Affairs in Ecuador.
She was national member of the republic (19982002), second vice-chairwoman of the National Congress (August 1998 July 2000), Secretaria Nacional Ejecutiva del Consejo Nacional de Planificación y Desarrollo de los Pueblos Indígenas y Negros del Ecuador ³CONPLADEIN² (1997), representative for chimborazo at the Asamblea Nacional Constituyente (19971998), member of the Comisión de Gestión Publica y del Consejo de la Legislatura del Congreso Nacional (1992-2000), leader of Tierras y Territorios de la Confederación de Nacionalidades Indígenas del Ecuador ³CONAIE² (19931996) and legal advisor of the Confederación de Nacionalidades Indígenas del Ecuador ³CONAIE² (19891993).
