This book exhibition brings together a selection of publications on the SAAL process, on the architect Bartolomeu Costa Cabral, and the other volumes that make up the Cidade Participada collection, published by Tinta da China.

The exhibition forms part of a programme of events to mark the launch of the publication ‘Bairro do Pego Longo’, on 17 September 2026 at 17:00.

By placing the publication alongside studies and doctoral theses that serve as key references in the field - such as that by the researcher José António Bandeirinha, the catalogue of the exhibition held at Serralves, and a selection of publications from the period - we aim to present an exhibition that illustrates not only the SAAL process but also the significant architectural output of Bartolomeu Costa Cabral.
