Brenda Coelho Fonseca
Biography
Ph.D. student in History at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State - UNIRIO (since 2014). In 2017 was an intern at the Department of Anthropology of the University Institute of Lisbon - ISCTE-IUL, and a visiting researcher at the Centre for Research in Anthropology of Portugal - CRIA. Bachelor and Master's Degrees in History at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2001-2005) and specialization course in Brazilian History at Cândido Mendes University - UCAM (2006-2007). Currently is a junior researcher at the Center for Social Studies - CES, University of Coimbra, and integrates the ECHOES project - European Colonial Heritage Modalities in Entangled Cities, funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020). She is a member of the Memory, History and Documentation Nucleus - NUMEM, at UNIRIO, in the research line Cultural Heritage, History Teaching and Historiography (a CNPq research group). Former a UNESCO consultant (2014 - 2017) at the Regional Training and Management Center of Natural and Cultural Heritage - Centro Lucio Costa / IPHAN (Category 2 Center under the auspices of UNESCO). Former professor and presential tutor (2014 - 2017) at the UNIRIO History Undergraduate Course, teaching the classes of Cultural Heritage, Methodology of History Teaching and Brazilian History in the 19th century. Also, coordinator of the Cultural Heritage Study Center encompassing the region of the middle Paraíba River in Rio de Janeiro State - NUEPAC, also at UNIRIO. Former cultural projects coordinator at Centro Cidade das Artes, in Rio de Janeiro, from February to December 2013. Former director of Centro de Arte Helio Oiticica, in Rio de Janeiro, from 2011 to 2013. Former member of research projects at National Artistic and Historic Heritage Institute - IPHAN, from 2006 to 2010.
