Carla Nogueira
Biography
Carla Nogueira, PhD candidate in Sociology at the Universidade do Algarve, Faculdade de Economia, has a Master's degree in Social and Solidarity Economy from ISCTE-IUL and a degree in Sociology from the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Algarve (UAlg). She started her career at CIEO - Research Centre for Spatial and Organizational Dynamics, at the University of Algarve, in 2012, after finishing her degree. In this institution she was a science and technology management scholarship holder in transnational cooperation projects under the Atlantic Area programme. Since then she has been working as a research fellow in national R&D units. She has participated in expert groups on smart specialization at the European Commission. At the moment, she is a grant holder of the CES in a project on Social Innovation and is finishing her doctoral thesis. In articulation with these activities, she is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve.
