Helena Silva Correia


Biography

Helena Silva Correia is the Communication and Dissemination Manager for the Horizon Europe project "IN SITU: Place-based innovation of cultural and creative industries in non-urban areas" coordinated by Nancy Duxbury, at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES-UC); funded by the European Union (GA Project 101061747). Previously a PhD student in 'Culture Studies', at the Catholic University/UCP in Lisbon, is currently a PhD student in 'History of Art' at FCSH/NOVA University, in Lisbon, Portugal. Holds a M.A. Cultural Management, from the UALG - University of the Algarve with the dissertation "Communicating Culture: Strategic Communication of the Contemporary Art Museums in Portugal" with a focus on how Portuguese Contemporary Art Museums communicate. And how the museum management influences the communication of their collections, artists and cultural spaces. She also has a B.A. in 'Communication Design', from IADE-Creative University, Lisbon. Helena's research interests are: the Contemporary Arts, Curatorial Practice, Activism, Environmental Humanities and Sustainability.
