Carlos Rafael Rea Rodríguez


Visiting Researcher in Postdoctoral Stay at the Center for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (in the thematique line "A Europa e o Sul global: patrimónios e diálogos"). Sociologist by the University of Guadalajara (1993), Master in Political Sociology from the Institute of Research Dr. José María Luis Mora (1998), Master (1999) and Doctor (2009) in Sociology by the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (CADIS-EHESS). He performed a Posdoctoral Stay at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (2010-2011). He is a researcher on the academic group Local Actors and Community Development of the Autonomous University of Nayarit. He teaches in the degree in Political Science and a Doctorate in Social Sciences at the same university. He is a member of the Agroecology, territorialities and dialogue of knowledge Network, the Mexican Network of Studies of Social Movements and the Research Committee 47 of the International Association of Sociology. He researches themes related to social movements, sustainable balance, dialogue of knowledge and alterhegemony. His current research is entitled Movements of indigenous peoples and cosmopolitics in Nayarit: between hegemonic articulation and translation.
