André Saramago
Biography
André Saramago is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, an integrated researcher at the Centre for Social Studies, in the thematic line (Semi)peripheral capitalism: Crises and alternatives, and an invited researcher at the Orient Institute, in the research group Southeast Asia and South Asia. He holds a PhD from Aberystwyth University in the United Kingdom and a Masters and Bachelor from the University of Lisbon. He lectures at the undergraduate and graduate levels in International Relations, including the MA in Peace, Security and Development Studies, and the PhD in International Politics and Conflict Resolution. His current research interests are in the fields of critical international theory, political ecology and East Asia.
