The programme’s structure is based on seminars of 45 hours each:

1st year 1st semester: 3 compulsory seminars of 10 ECTS;
1st year/2nd semester: 3 compulsory seminars of10 ECTS;
2nd year /1st semester: 1 compulsory seminar of 30 ECTS
2nd year/2nd semester: 1 compulsory seminar of 30 ECTS
3rd and 4th years: Thesis (deadline: 2 years)

This inter and transdisciplinary 3rd cycle programme offers the doctoral degree in 1 or 2 scientific areas – Anglo-American Studies or Contemporary History.
In the first two semesters the approval in two seminars on History, in two seminars on Anglo-American Studies and in two seminars on Sociology is mandatory.
From the 2nd year until the thesis conclusion, the co-supervision in 2 of 3 areas is mandatory: Contemporary History, Anglo-American Studies, Sociology. The doctoral area (History or Anglo-American Studies) will be dictated by the nature of the work produced in the thesis.
