Migrants’ transnational practices in Western Europe

Overarching objective of the programme would consequently be to describe through this explorative study the social reality of transnational activities on a comparative basis, combining the interference and interaction of sending and receiving countries with the studied communities. An inventory of this sort, which analyses migrants with EU and Non-EU origins, but also host and sending countries as much as countries with a long established immigration experience and new immigration countries, is still needed and would help to reframe existing theories of transnationalism and generate new hypothesis.
