The Conference includes 3 thematic units of paper presentation sessions and a space for poster presentation. Papers must focus on the general subject of the Conference, presenting results from research projects, theoretical reflections or interpretation proposals which may contribute for a comprehensive discussion about the role of Portugal in the world and the dynamics which configure the country’s current reality. These sessions intend to provide a transdisciplinary discussion on relevant subjects for understanding the country’s current situation and its forms of relationship at the international level, exchanging perspectives from different study fields within social sciences and humanities. Following the same guideline, the poster presentation sessions are an opportunity for young researchers, or at early stages of research, to show the results of empirical studies and/or to present ongoing work.
