Álvaro DominguesÁlvaro Domingues holds a Doctoral degree in Geography by the School of Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP). Between 1984 and 2000, he lectured at the Undergraduate Degree Course in Geography of FLUP. Since 2001, he teaches at the School of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), where he is also member of the Scientific Board and researcher at the Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies (CEAU-FAUP).


Ana ValeAna Vale, lawyer, develops her professional activity around the field of industrial relationships, training and equal opportunities between men and women, both in Portugal and the European Commission. More recently, she acted as President of the Coordination Committee of the European Social Fund and Manager of the Community Initiative Programs "Employment" and ADAPT, which promoted innovation in training and employment.

Francisco NoaFrancisco Noa is the Editor of HUMANITAS - Scientific Journal of ESCJS, ISPU, Maputo (Mozambique), Director of the College of Legal and Social Sciences (ISPU), Consultant for the Teaching Staff - Educational Board (ISPU) and Editor of the journal Proler - Literatura, Saber e Lazer. He is also professor of Mozambican Literature at the University Eduardo Mondlane - Maputo (Mozambique).


Hélia CorreiaPortuguese contemporary writer, Hélia Correia graduated in Romance Philology and is a Secondary Education Portuguese teacher. Her debut in poetry was with "O Separar das águas", in 1981, and "O Número dos Vivos", in 1982. In 2002, she was awarded the Portuguese Pen Club Prize 2001 for best novel for her book Lillias Fraser.

Paulo de MedeirosPaulo de Medeiros holds the Chair of Portuguese Studies at Utrecht University. As visiting Professor he has taught at several universities in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, and the UK. His research centers on Luso-Brazilian narrative, literary and cultural theory with a focus on the interrelations between politics and literature, as well as on postcolonial issues. He has recently edited Postcolonial Theory and Lusophone Literatures (Utrecht, 2007) and co-edited a number of journal issues in Portugal as well as in the UK and the USA, the most recent of which is a thematic issue of the Bulletin of Hispanic Studies on “Iberian Autobiography” (2008). He heads the Department of Portuguese Studies and coordinates the interdisciplinary MA on Western Literature and Culture and the Research MA on Comparative Literary Studies. Current research projects involve questions of contemporary poetics, the intellectual relations between Portugal and Northern Europe, and the representation of conflict.

Susana DurãoSusana Durão holds a Doctoral degree in Architecture by ISCTE-IUL (Higher Institute of Business and Labour Sciences of the Lisbon University Institute) She is Assistant Researcher at the Institute for Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon since 2008, where she also integrates the faculty of the Masterâ??s and Doctoral Programmes in Anthropology.

Ungulani Ba Ka KhosaUngulani Ba Ka Khosa is a famous Mozambican writer and professor. He won the José Craveiringa Literature Award in 2007 for his book "Os sobreviventes da noite". In 2002, "Ualalapi" was considered one of the 100 best African novels of the 20th century. In 1990, he won the Grand Prize of Mozambican Fiction with "Ualalapiâ".
