Teresa Maneca Lima


Biography

Teresa Maneca Lima is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies and a member of the Research Group on Democracy, Citizenship and Law. She holds a PhD in "Law, Justice, and Citizenship in the Twenty First Century" from the University of Coimbra She has participated in several research project related to participation, labour relations and access to law and justice. The most expressive are: "Access to Law and Court Mobilization: the case of discrimination between women and men" and "The role of the Public Prosecutors Offices in the access of citizens to law and justice in labour and family conflicts: a study case at the courts of Coimbra". She is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the project "Work accidents and the right to reparation in Portugal: between social conceptions and jurisprudential understandings". Her actual research interests are access to law and justice, occupational hazards, labour rights and human rights.
