- To collect and analyse representations about the Colonial Wars in private and public narratives
- To study the interactions between familial and public memories of the Colonial Wars
- To identify the postmemory of the Colonial Wars
- To analyse the transmission of vulnerability of trauma between generations
- To study factors of vulnerability of trauma
- To analyse the impact of the postmemory of the war on the national imaginary
- To think about an ethics of representation of the Colonial Wars considering the relationship between traumatic memory, public space and collective memory
- To initiate new areas of comparative research.
