Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales (CLACSO)

established in 1967 is a non-governmental institution that brings together a hundred and ninety five research centres, as well as graduate and postgraduate programmes in the social sciences in twenty two countries.


Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA)

established in 1973 as an independent Pan-African research organisation with a primary focus on the social sciences, broadly defined. It is recognised not only as the pioneer African social research organisation but also as the apex non-governmental centre of social knowledge production on the continent.


Culturelink - the Network of Networks for Research and Cooperation in Cultural Development

The Network was established by UNESCO and the Council of Europe in 1989 in Paris at the UNESCO Consultation of Representatives of Regional and Sub-regional Networks for Cultural Development Research and Cooperation. The Network has primarily been serving as a platform for research in the field of cultural development, cultural policies and international cultural cooperation


EU-Russia Collaborative Research Network

The network was established in 2006 to encourage closer cooperation and exchange of views between the growing number of EU-specialists working on Russia and the post-Soviet states coming under the European Neighbourhood Policy and colleagues in the field of Slavonic Studies who were interested in the EU.


European Expert Network on Culture (EENC)

O EENC contribui para a melhoria do desenvolvimento de políticas de cultura na Europa, prestando apoio e aconselhamento à Comissão Europeia na análise de políticas culturais e suas implicações a nível nacional, regional e europeu. Em vez de realizar pesquisas primárias, o EENC oferece assessoria especializada aos responsáveis ​​políticos através da sintetização de pesquisas atuais e questões relevantes de forma útil para o desenvolvimento de políticas. Entre as tarefas confiadas ao EENC está o lançamento e gestão de um site, que deve fornecer informações abrangentes tanto sobre as atividades da EENC quanto sobre outros desenvolvimentos relevantes para os campos em que a rede opera.


International Association of thew Portuguese Language Social and Human Sciences (AILPcsh)

A AILPcsh surgiu na sequência de onze  Congressos LUSO-AFRO-BRASILEIROS DE CIÊNCIAS SOCIAIS cuja primeira edição remonta a 1990. As principais atividades da associação são a organização do seu Congresso, em regime de itinerância entre os países de língua oficial portuguesa e a criação de plataformas de incentivo e promoção de redes de pesquisa e publicações.A AILPcsh pretende afirmar-se como um canal de política científica fundamental na promoção de um espaço de cooperação entre os cientistas sociais de Língua Portuguesa.

International Network for Urban Research and Action (INURA) é uma rede internacional de pessoas e grupos envolvidos em investigação, ação direta, divulgação e debate sobre temas relacionados com formas de resistência à desigualdade de direitos, principalmente em contexto urbano.


Património Histórico+Cultural Ibero-Americano (RED PHI)

The PHI project, Latin-American Historic & Cultural Heritage, presents the development of an innovative global information system, based on the capabilities of the university world, permanently updated. A useful system, open and segmented according to the different foreseeable demands on the characteristics and the state of the built properties identified as heritage. Its aim is to create a platform that serves to better understand the strategic value of Heritage and that allows for a more efficient management of this common legacy to activate its ability of planning the inhabited space.


Portuguese National Rural Network (RRN)

The Portuguese National Rural Network (RRN) is a hub connecting active rural development stakeholders who are willing to share their experiences and knowledge, to improve its performance and achieve better results. The network acts as a dissemination platform for relevant information, building on shared actions to enhance the implementation of rural development programmes and policy instruments and the qualification of agents implicated in rural development.


Portuguese Security Studies Network (PT - SSN)

The network aims to develop a sense of community among researchers in the field of International Relations; to promote cooperation among researchers from different institutions, areas and schools of thought; to project internationally the research conducted in Portugal; and to collect and organize information about the research conducted in Portugal.


Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict (SVAC)

The International Research Group Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict (SVAC), founded in October 2010, addresses questions about sexual violence in armed conflict. In a series of meetings and workshops, interdisciplinary scholars and NGO-experts compare case studies from different theaters of war and conflict, including multifaceted theoretical approaches. The group thus promotes the systematic development of research questions and methods.
