Provide theoretical and methodological elements that enable participants to understand and operationalize the method, within a perspective of participatory and deliberative democracy, as well as sustainable participatory development.

Bio note

José Roberto Pereira - Post-Doctorate in Social Sciences at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (2017-2018). PhD in Sociology from the University of Brasilia (2000). Scholarship Produtividade em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Extensão Inovadora of CNPq. Advisor in the Master's Degree in Public Administration, in the Master's and PhD in Management from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). Full Professor in Public Administration and Social Management at the Federal University of Lavras. He has coordinated research projects and guidelines in the areas of participatory and deliberative democracy, public administration and social management. The theoretical focus is based on the Communicative Action Theory approach for the construction and delimitation of research fields in social management and public administration. Published three books in 2017: Municipal Public Management; Participative Diagnosis: the DRPE (Participatory Rapid Diagnostic Emancipator) method; Social Management of Cooperatives. He is currently researching on Social Water Management: a comparative analysis between Brazil and Portugal.
