About

This workshop aims to be an opportunity to think together about care as a prerequisite for a political ecology of common goods. By"political ecology of the common", we mean the conflicts that arise against the commodification of air, water, soil, urban and peri-urban spaces by those who want to collectively care for these resources; the relations and asymmetries of power that contribute to determine and produce the environment in which we live; the logic and the meanings of the common that care produces and reproduces. In these two laboratory days, we will discuss the care of the common as a form of collective work and its regenerative potential of territories, spaces, bodies and relations. We will ask ourselves how the care of the ordinary calls into question consolidated models of social/sexual division of labour and the appropriation of value. We will reflect on the common as a form of community/anticapitalist re-production, that is, how to manage collective work to create, conserve and regenerate the resources (material and immaterial) necessary for social reproduction.

The laboratory will be conducted in four stages: field work, film session, seminar, group work.
