About

This session will present the 3D model of the reconstitution of the monastery in 1834 and explain how it was developed throughout the SANTACRUZ Project. We will revisit the major phases of the monastery's construction, with the support of Maria de Lurdes Craveiro, Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. We will also revisit, guided by Alexandre Ramires, the numerous photographic campaigns carried out in the second half of the 19th century, which were an invaluable source for the model. At the end, a guided tour will take place through a series of hotspots strategically placed in the former monastic dependencies and surrounding spaces, where participants will be able to confront the current reality with the corresponding situation in 1834, using QR Codes to be read by the participants' Smartphones and Tablets.
