Biography

Miriam Jawadi has a Bachelor degree in International Political Science and a Master degree in Sociology at the University of Turin. Actually she is a researcher at the CES at University of Coimbra for the European project PROTEMO (HEU 2024/2026). Her research interests include: Organized crime, political corruption, gender equality in employment; Issue of immigration; The principles of democracy; Rights of the European Union; Social inequalities, Social stereotyping and Social deviance. She has been part of many Italian associations involved in raising awareness among citizens about political issues, including immigration and fighting against the organised crime. She took part in the drafting of a dossier about the extortion and usury by organized crime in the Turin area in Italy.
