Biography

Bruno Gil is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies, where he co-coordinates the project (EU)ROPA, and guest Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra, where he teaches architectural theory and history. With a cultural approach to architectural education and research, aiming both for site-specific peculiarities and knowledge transfer networks, he has published essays in "Footprint: Delft architecture theory journal", "arq: Architectural Research Quarterly", "Docomomo Journal", "Writingplace Journal" and "Joelho", and in 2017 he completed his doctoral thesis entitled "Architectural Research Cultures: Lines of thought within research centres, 1945-1974", awarded with the Prize Nuno Teotónio Pereira.
