This lecture series, New Trends in International Politics and Conflict Resolution, organised by the Doctoral Programme in International Relations - International Politics and Conflict Resolution at the University of Coimbra, brings together scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to explore emerging challenges, debates, and research agendas in contemporary international politics.

Grounded in an interdisciplinary approach, critical perspectives, and the Peace Studies tradition, the series addresses issues ranging from peace and conflict, climate justice, and geopolitical transformations to digital technologies, gender politics, the rule of law, and contemporary forms of violence.

By connecting political developments with theoretical, epistemological, and methodological debates, it aims to foster critical dialogue and open new ways of understanding international politics, violence, and the possibilities for peace.
