Title: “Extreme violence movements in Cabo Delgado: from 1962 to 2021” | Yussuf Adam
Yussuf Adam, PhD in History and Development Studies from the University Centre of Roskilde - Denmark, is Emeritus Professor at Eduardo Mondlane University. Both as an academic and as an independent consultant, he is a careful analyst of the situation of violence in Cabo Delgado, a region he began studying in the 1980s.

Title “The first signs of Al Shabaab in Cabo Delgado” | Sérgio Chichava
Sérgio Chichava holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Bordeaux, in France. He is currently a senior researcher at IESE, Maputo. He has several publications on the conflict that marks Cabo Delgado.

Title: “The Cause of all Causes of the Conflict in Cabo Delgado: From Passamo to the Public Narratives” | Fidel Terenciano
PhD in Political Science at UFSCar. He has professional experience in Teaching and Research, being member of the research group: CEPPLA - Centre for the Study of Latin American Political Parties - CNPq/PPG-Pol UFSCar and Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Research and Sustainable Development - UCM - FGTI. Among his research topics are Elections; Political Parties; State; Development; Representative Democracy, Public Opinion.

Title: “Challenges of Land Governance in Mozambique - Protecting Human Land Rights in a Context of Overlapping Natural Disasters, Pandemics, Corruption and Military Violence. The case of Cabo Delgado” | Alda Salomão
Alda Salomão is a socio-environmental and human rights activist, legal advisor to CENTRO TERRA VIVA and researcher at the TINDZILA Land and Natural Resources Governance Centre. She is also a National Commissioner for Human Rights.

Title: “How a jihad is born: some hypotheses for the case of Cabo Delgado” | Liazzat Bonate
Liazzat Bonate is professor of African history at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago; she has previously taught at Seoul National University and Eduardo Mondlane University. Bonate specialises in the history of Africa and Islam in Africa, with particular focus on Mozambique, and has published several articles in this area based on her research in northern Mozambique.

Title: “Social inequalities and the climate of tension in Cabo Delgado: an analysis based on the vision of Amartya Sem” | Sufiane Catija Mário Rafael de Mote
Lecturer at UniRovuma, Cabo Delgado Extension, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Has participated in several researches with emphasis on "Terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado" - 2020.  Member of AMEA and AMOVIDA, his areas of interest focus on research in social sciences, public health, welfare and gender policies.

Title: “Terrorism in Cabo Delgado: a 'tip of the iceberg'” | Jafar Silvestre Jafar
Jafar Silvestre Jafar has a PhD in Post-Colonialisms and Global Citizenship from the University of Coimbra and a Master in Sciences of Development and Cooperation from Sapienza University of Rome [La Sapienza]. He is currently teaching at the Department of Arts and Social Sciences at the University Rovuma in Nampula.

Title: “The search for peace in Mozambique: what is reproduced and repeated in the process of demilitarization, disarmament and reintegration (DDR)?” | Ricardo Raboco
Ricardo Raboco holds a PhD in International Politics and Conflict Resolution by the University of Coimbra. He teaches Political Science at the Licungo University, Quelimane. He researches on post-conflict power sharing and its implications for peace; violence in formal peace contexts and youth political participation.
