October 17, 2026, 16h30

Wool Museum (Museu de Lanifícios) (Covilhã)

As the culmination of five intensive days of collaborative work in Covilhã, the CES-UBI Winter School “Mapping culture, communities and landscapes to [re]generate future heritage” invites the public to the Presentation of Project Ideas on Saturday, 17 October, at 17:00 at the Wool Museum of the University of Beira Interior.

Throughout the five-day programme, an international group of participants representing 12 countries (Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United States) will engage in an intensive cycle of site visits, learning seminars, community interactions, and hands-on workshops. This learning process ends in an Ideation and Prototyping Lab, where participants will collaborate to design creative, culture-based tourism projects tailored to real-life local challenges and community expectations in Covilhã.

During this final public session, participants will share their curated project ideas with the local community, partners, and the broader public. Everyone is welcome to join, discover these innovative proposals, and engage in the conversation about the local heritage and culture in Covilhã.

Attendance is free and open to the public.
