Biography

Hélia Santos is junior researcher since 2003. Presently, she is part of the research team of "MEMOIRS: Children of Empires and European Postmemories" (ERC Consolidator Grant), coordinated by Margarida Calafate Ribeiro, as PhD student. She holds an MA degree in Sociology (Postcolonialisms and Global Citizenship), from the Centre for Social Studies and School of Economics, University of Coimbra, a PhD taught programme that she joined again in 2015, now as a PhD candidate. Her research interests focus on postcolonial studies and identities, postcolonial education and, more recently, memory studies. Since 2012, she works in the Project Management Office (GAGEP).
