Mafalda Esteves


Mafalda Esteves is the Research Manager of the project "INTIMATE - Citizenship, Care and Choice: The Micropolitics of intimacy in Southern Europe" (ERC Starting Grant). Currently, she is a Ph.D student in "Psychology" (CIS/ISCTE-IUL). She holds a bachelor degree in Psychology (Pre-specialization in Social Psychology) from the University of Coimbra and a MA degree in Psychosocial Intervention from the Department of Social Psychology, University of Barcelona. In 2014 she was junior researcher of the research project entitled: "Networked Youth Activism: digital media, social movements and participatory culture among southern Europe young activists" (EXPL/IVC-COM/2191/2013), at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH/UNL). Her main research interests are civic community action, feminist and LGBT/queer activism and the use of Arts towards social transformation.
