Round-Table

Ethical Challenges

November 7, 2019, 15h30

Room 8, CES | Alta

Overview

The Roda de Saberes Cycle has the objective of promoting a space for inter and transdisciplinary dialogue centred on the methodological landscape that characterizes research at CES. With the goal of amplifying this dialogue and facilitating positive and produtive interactions between the participants of the cycle, we propose the Roda de Saberes Round-Tables, which constitute informal opportunities to share experiences among CES researchers, aiming to enhance the interactions among all those involved.

In this first Round-Table, we propose a conversation about "ethical challenges".

What type of ethical challenges are posed to Social and Human Sciences researchers. What challenges do the methods we use in our disciplinary domain pose? Which challenges have arisen in the context of our research projects and how have we acted or can we act in regards to them? Which procedures and protocols should be developed to answer them at a personal and institutional level?

We hereby leave the invitation for all to appear and the challenge to bring some reflection or testimony about "ethical challenges". As we intend this to be a moment of informal exchanges and since the best ideas sometimes appear around the table, we suggest that you bring your cup or mug and some contribution (food or drink) to shared snacking.
