About

What have we learned from the intersections, artistic processes, conversations and sharings that were woven throughout the Linha de Fuga Festival? After all, can care be subversive? After the confinements and social distancing imposed during the pandemic peaks, in which vulnerabilities were exacerbated, time-space shortened, and the boundaries between public and private blurred, how did we get back on our feet? What forms of listening, solidarities and ancestral healing practices can we cultivate in a fundamentally sterile and atomised environment? How can we overcome barriers in order to build communities based on relationships of interdependence and reciprocity, without forgetting that care is written with race and in the feminine? What is the role of art, as practice, aesthetics, and work (!), in expanding these questions? We open questions to which we do not want ready-made and immediate answers. We open processes that we want to continue by other means. Where to begin?
