Alexandra Leitão | B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where she is an assistant professor. Permanent Researcher and Secretary-General of the Public Law Research Centre of the Lisbon University Faculty of Law. Member of Parliament since March 2022. Assistant Secretary of State and of Education in the XXI Constitutional Government (2015-2019) and Minister of State Modernization and Public Administration in the XXII Constitutional Government (2019-2022).

Ana Cordeiro Santos | PhD in Economics and Philosophy from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands, is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. Her research work has focused on the epistemic, social and political implications of economic science, as well as the financialisation of the economy, the state and housing. She has coordinated several research projects and is the author of several national and international scientific publications on these topics.

César Madureira | Senior Researcher at the Directorate General of Administration and Public Employment (DGAEP). Senior Researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-Iscte). Visiting Associate Professor at ISCTE-IUL. Professor at the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa.

Elisa Ferreira | European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform. She was Vice-Governor and Director at the Banck of Portugal, representing Portugal on the Supervisory Board of the Single Supervisory Mechanism of the European Central Bank. Between 2004 and 2016 she was a Member of the European Parliament, elected three times. Between 2002 and 2004 she was a Member of the Portuguese Parliament. She was Minister of Planning, responsible for the negotiations and implementation of the Community Support Framework, and Minister of the Environment. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Porto, a Master’s Degree and a PhD from Reading University in the United Kingdom. She is a Professor in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, with suspended functions.

Fernanda Rollo | Historian. PhD. in Contemporary History. Full Professor at NOVA FCSH. Researcher and coordinator of History, Territories and Communities - CFE NOVA FCSH. Researcher of the UNESCO Chair Biodiversity and Conservation for Sustainable Development and of the Associate Laboratory TERRA. Chair of COST Action SHiFT. Main fields of research: Contemporary Portuguese History, history of economy, society and innovation; Europe, cooperation and integration movements; history and organization of science.

Fernando Nunes da Silva | Full Professor of Urbanism (retired) and researcher at the Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture (CiTUA) at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon. He has a degree in Civil Engineering (IST, 1980), a post-graduation in Urban and Regional Planning (UTL) and in Transport Planning (EPFL, 1983), a PhD in Civil Engineering (1992) and an aggregate degree in Urban Planning and Transport (2000), from IST. He is President of the Association Internationale pour le Développement Urbain (INTA) and Vice-President of the Red Universitaria Iberoamericana de Territorio y Movilidad (RUITEM). He was a Lisbon City Councilor for Municipal Works (2009/11) and for Mobility and Transport (2009/13), and a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Urbanists. He has been a consultant in several municipalities and government entities in Portugal and abroad, where he has also developed university teaching activities.

João Varejão Faria | Law School of Economics (ISEG-1981) and Master in Regional Planning (U. Lisboa-1985). He has been a permanent official at the European Commission (EC) since 1989: Finance Technician and Relations with the EIB (1989-94) and Regional Policy DG (geographical unit "Portugal" 2003-2007). Vice-President and President of CCDR Algarve (2000-2003 and 2007-2011). From 2011 to 2014 he was a member of the European Commission's Portugal Support Group and from 2014 to 2021 he was responsible for the political sector of the European Commission Representation in Portugal. Lecturer at ISEG in the chairs of Political Economy and History of Economic Thought (1982 to 1987) and Portuguese and European Economy (1998-99) and at U. Nova in "European Policies" and "European Economy" (2009-1).

Luís Carvalho | PhD, Erasmus University Rotterdam, is a Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto, specialising in the fields of innovation studies, economic geography and urban development. He currently directs the MSc course in Economics and Innovation Management and is Associate Editor of the journal Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions. In addition to research and teaching, he collaborates frequently with public and private entities in projects of economic development, innovation and territorial planning.

Nuno Ornelas Martins | PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge, a degree in Economics from the Portuguese Catholic University (Porto)and an aggregate degree in History of Economic Thought, also at the Portuguese Catholic University. He is currently a full professor at the Catholic University of Portugal where he teaches the History of Economic Thought and Social Philosophy and Ethics. He has also taught at Cambridge University and the University of the Azores. He is a member of the Cambridge Social Ontology Group, and on the editorial board of several academic publications. He published the book The Cambridge Revival of Political Economy in 2013 by Routledge, and several international book chapters, as well as numerous articles in various international academic journals in the areas of Economics and Philosophy.

Nuno Travasso | Porto, 1980, is an architect, visiting professor at FAUP and integrated researcher at CEAU. His research focuses on the study of contemporary urbanisation processes and actors, on the ways of reading and representing territories of extensive occupation, on urban planning and management practices, and on public housing policies. In these fields, he has participated in several research and planning projects, in close connection with public entities and the third sector.

Paulo Areosa Feio | Is, since July 2021, director of the Competence Centre for Planning, Policy and Foresight of the Public Administration. He has dedicated more than 25 years to public policies. He participated, as assistant to the president, in the Mission for the Reform of the Territorial Organization of the State Administration, was project leader of the CSF III Observatory and coordinator of the NSRF Observatory, with responsibilities in the programming, coordination and evaluation of instruments funded by European funds. He was an advisor at the Portuguese Delegation to the OECD and a consultant at the Ministry of Planning in Angola. A geographer by training, he taught at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Lisbon from 1990 to 2001. At the same time, he has developed a consulting activity, particularly in the evaluation of programmes co-funded by European funds and in regional and urban planning. After having opted for Public Administration, he continued his teaching activity related to the planning and evaluation of public policies at ISCTE-IUL and IPPS-ISCTE.

Ricardo Noronha | PhD in History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History (NOVA FCSH). Among his research topics are social conflict, critical thinking and the transformations of political economy during the second half of the 20th century. He is the author of «A banca ao serviço do povo Política e Economia durante o PREC (1974-75)» and co-editor of «Greves e Conflitos Sociais em Portugal no século XX».

Sílvia Jorge | Architect, PhD in Urbanism, is currently a researcher at the Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture (CiTUA), of the Instituto Superior Técnico, where she coordinates the project "Housing as a FIRST RIGHT" (2021-2027), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (2020.01858.CEECIND). Through a close dialogue between theory and practice, her work aims to contribute to the construction and implementation of more inclusive and sustainable intervention policies and practices, focusing on the most vulnerable groups.
