The Centre for Social Studies (CES) and the University of Tifariti, of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, signed an Academic, Scientific and Cultural Collaboration Protocol on 17 March 2025.

This agreement reflects CES's commitment to translating solidarity with the people of Western Sahara into concrete actions, while simultaneously raising the profile of Saharawi academic and scientific institutions. The protocol provides for short-term visits, the exchange of students and young researchers, and the promotion of the joint development of research projects, scientific meetings, publications, and other dissemination activities.

The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University of Tifariti, Mulai Emhamed Brahim, and the Director of the Research Center, Abderrahmane Taleb Omar, who were at CES to formalize this commitment. They were also responsible for presenting the seminar «La situación actual en el Sahara Occidental: retos a la solidaridad internacional».
