Biography

Full professor of English at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Graduated in English and Literatures from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG / 1996) -where she started her career in gender studies, she holds a Master's degree in Letters from the University of Rio Grande (FURG / 2005), in the line of Feminist Writing, with the thesis "For an analysis of the Kunstlerroman of female authorship: the procreation / creation dilemma in As doze cores do vermelho, by Helena parente Cunha". She was a professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL), and at the State University of Rio Grande do Sul (UERGS) - in Rio Grande do Sul, at the Naval College of Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro, and in private schools, in Pelotas and Cruz Alta (RS). She joined the Federal Technical Education Network in 2009, at the Instituto Federal Sul Rio-grandense (IFSul) / Câmpus Pelotas and transferred in 2017 to IFSC / Câmpus Lages. At IFSul, she worked in high school, postgraduate and postgraduate courses (Specialization Courses in Education). She was a member of the Superior Council (2009-2010) and the Permanent Evaluation Commission (CPA) (2009-2014). She participated in the creation and chaired the International Affairs Nucleus of Campus Pelotas (2012-2014). She was an evaluator, as a collaborator in MEC, of the items of the ENEM (national proof of admission to Brazilian higher education), between 2012 and 2015. At IFSC, she works in teaching English in high school courses and in graduation courses, as well as in postgraduate courses, in the area of education, in specialization courses aimed at public school teachers, as a teacher and supervisor of the Course Conclusion Works. She coordinated the School Management Specialization Course at Campus Lages (2019). Also at IFSC, she was a member of the Evaluation Committee for Extension Work (2018-2019), participated in the creation and chaired the Human Rights Commission of Campus Lages and was a member of the Human Rights Commission of IFSC (2018/2019), within the scope of the University Pact for the Promotion of Respect for Diversity, Culture of Peace and Human Rights, of the Ministry of Education of Brazil, coordinating awareness actions, with the IFSC / Lages community, in relation to human rights and, in particular, regarding rights of the women. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Feminist Studies at the University of Coimbra, in the line of feminist writing.
