Daniela B. Miranda Prado


Biography

Sociologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Master in Social Policy from the Universidade de Brasilia (UNB), Brasil. She is currently a PhD student of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme in Political Economy organised by FEUC, ISCTE-IUL and ISEG. She has specialised in studies on territorial and rural development in Latin America; social policy and monitoring and evaluation indicators; and participatory methodologies for research and evaluation. Lately she has been interested in Feminist Political Economy and Social and Solidarity Economy, area where she studied a specialisation at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. She has worked in development projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador and Chile and has been a consultant for UNDP, ILO and FAO. She is currently working on her thesis "Women's cooperativism from the perspective of feminist political economy. A case study in rural areas of Portugal (Alentejo) and Chile (Biobío)", with funding from the FCT.
