Maria Izabel Braga Weber
Biography
Izabel is a PhD student at "Democracy in XXI Century" at CES/FEUC/UC. She holds her bachelor's degree and a master's degree at University of Brasilia (UnB) and is Specialist in Measures against environmental urbane problems for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in Sapporo, Japan. She has been a public servant since 1996, having worked in the Ministries of Justice (MJ), with Human Rights; in the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, with modernization of Public Management; and in the government of the Federal District with Environment, Land Regularization and Public Participation. She is interested in democratic theory, public participation and social movements, these being their subjects of research interest.
