Maria Mercone


Biography

Maria Mercone obtained her Bachelor's Degree in International Studies at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Bologna (2011). Successively, she obtained her Master's Degree in International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Naples "L'Orientale", with a final thesis in Postcolonial Studies titled "Exodus and Revolution in the African American experience: from the Atlantic revolts to the Radical Movements" (2014). Currently she is a PhD student in the program Post-colonialisms and Global Citizenship at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra. Her research is funded by FCT. Since January 2022, she is a member of AISNA - Italian Association of North-American Studies.
