Biography

I am a French-Portuguese researcher with a diverse international background. I hold a PhD in Sociology of Law from the University of Coimbra (Portugal), as well as Master's degrees in International Careers (Université d'Auvergne-Clermont 1, France) and in International and European Law of Fundamental Rights (Université de Nantes, France), in addition to a Bachelor's degree in International and European Law (Université Paris Nanterre, France). I began my international professional experience in Cape Verde (2001-2003), at the French Embassy and UNICEF. Between 2004 and 2010, I worked in Brazil in a law firm, in sustainability communication, and with non-governmental organisations in the fields of human rights and environmental protection. I was also a partner in an online communication agency (2011-2015), served as head of development and fundraising at the International Federation for Human Rights (2010-2011 and 2016-2018) in Paris, and was a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (2018-2024), where I co-coordinated the European projects URBiNAT (Horizon 2020) and TRANS-lighthouses (Horizon Europe). I continue to collaborate with civil society, as well as in projects at CES, as a collaborating researcher.
