Biography

Associate Researcher at the Trauma Center of the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra. Graduated in Psychology by the University of Coimbra and Master in Management, specializing in Human Resources, by the University of Évora. Has been a collaborator of the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP) since January 2002. Since December 2012 she has been responsible for nationally coordinating CVP's psycho-social support response. Is focal point of Portugal for the Psychosocial Center of the International Federation of the Red Cross. Is a member of the Working Group on Intervention of the Psychologist in the Context of Crisis and Catastrophe and belongs to the Working group "Refugees" of the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations. She is a guest lecturer at the Postgraduate Course in Crisis and Humanitarian Action of the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon; and in the Post-Graduation in Humanitarian Missions, Catastrophes and Conflicts of the Superior School of Health of the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP).
