2022-02-01 - Executive coordinator at H2020 Project PHOENIX (The Rise of Citizens' Voice for a Greener Europe), running from 2022 to 2025. The project is an iterative learning process for different actors in different countries, whose overarching objective is to increase the transformative potential of democratic innovations to implement the European Green Deal farm-to-fork, circular economy, energy transition, and healthy soil policy areas. It involves citizens, local stakeholders, decision-makers, and experts/researchers in 11 pilots in seven European countries.

2021-06-01 to 2022-03-01 - Researcher in Social Sciences in the PERA-ERA (Partnership for Next Generation, systems‐based Environmental Risk Assessment) project, a strategic initiative launched by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). My main activities were the engagement with stakeholders for interviews, the results used to identify partners, areas needing further development, challenges, blockers, and collaboration opportunities.

2021-05-01 to 2022-01-31 - Researcher at Inova Juntos (international cooperation project). Development of participatory diagnosis to identify the territory's needs and act to solve real problems. The project will identify good practices and experiences for exchanging knowledge, with the aim of creating a joint methodology to achieve actionable results. The expected results are the construction of hybrid innovation spaces that guarantee the dissemination of knowledge

2020-03-01 to 2020-11-30 - Research at Centre for Functional Ecology - Science for People & the Planet (CFE), University of Coimbra, where develops research on public policies for the agriculture sector within JOBToc, a Portuguese national funding project. Main activities: interviews with farmer's associations and unions; interviews with young farmers; comparative of best practices in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and France; contributions to the Policy Paper.

2019-12-01 to 2020-02-28 - Researcher associated to the PLUS project (Platform Labour in Urban Spaces: Fairness, Welfare, Development), researching the impacts of the legislation that regulates the platform economies on labor relations and the urban dimension.

2018-06-01 to 2019-11-30 - Post-doctoral fellow at H2020 Project URBiNAT, Healthy corridors as drivers of social housing neighbourhoods for the co-creation of social, environmental and marketable NBS, that is going to implement a Healthy Corridor, having the physical, mental and social well-being of citizens as its main goal. It is coordinated by Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. My activities were related to the community-driven process for the co-creation process of the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), involving citizens, local stakeholders, decision-makers, and experts/researchers in the pilot city (Porto, Portugal), as well as presenting the project at schools, organisations and citizens. I also have been planning and facilitating the workshops (for children and adults) for the co-creation process with stakeholders and citizens.

2017-09-11 to 2018-05-31 - Research Fellow at "Knowledge Laboratory" (Laboratório do Conhecimento - CoLab) is an experimental facility within the Urban and Territorial Studies Unit, aimed to facilitate dialogue and knowledge alliances between scientific and non-scientific communities. Adopting the human center-oriented approach to innovation and applying design thinking methodologies, CoLab organizes workshops that stimulate collaborative work experiences to identify challenges, idealize solutions and prototype products, processes and services.

2016-03-01 to 2016-12-01 - Associate Researcher at EMPATIA project (H2020) - The EMPATIA project seeks to radically enhance the inclusiveness and impact of PB processes, increasing the participation of citizens by designing, evaluating and making publicly available an advanced ICT platform for participatory budgeting, which could be adaptable to different social and institutional contexts. EMPATIA is a 24-month project that seeks to design, evaluate, refine and widely disseminate such a platform as an open-source public good. EMPATIA aims at producing the first ICT platform capable of fully encompassing both the decision-making cycle and the implementation cycle of PB whose integration is considered indispensable by literature as the main driver of the self-sustainability process.
