Mariana Riquito


Biography

Mariana Riquito is a PhD Candidate at the University of Amsterdam and a Junior Researcher at CES, where she collaborates with the HORIZON Project GREENPATHS. She is also co-coordinator of ECOSOC - Ecology & Society Lab. Mariana successfully completed the Joint Program in International Relations and Political Sciences. She holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra and a Master's Degree in Sociology & Political Sciences from Sciences Po Bordeaux. She is currently researching and writing about the contested realm of the energy transition, exploring debates on extractivism, ecofeminism, ontological pluralism, and socioecological alternatives, with a focus on Covas do Barroso.
