The colloquium ‘Meridians of the Future: the House of the Students of the Empire (CEI) of Coimbra (1945–1965)’ is of the exhibition of the same name, which opened in March 2026 at the Convento São Francisco. This event aims to discuss the importance of the Coimbra branch of the House of the Students of the Empire, highlighting its unique character and the House’s significance within the context of the country, Coimbra and the student movements of the time, situating it within the history of the political, social and cultural changes that swept the country during those two decades.
