The National Scientists' Day was established in order to celebrate and recognise the historical, relevant and innovative contribution of the scientific community to the advancement of knowledge and thus to the progress and well-being of society.

CES, through the CES Ciência Viva programme, was represented by the participation of the researcher Lúcia Fernandes, who shared "stories that have remained untold" of her research work.
