After the impact of the first film, 'The Poison Is On The Table II' updates and goes deeper on the evil consequences for public health, caused by the use of chemicals in agriculture. This second feature focuses on the possible alternatives, respecting the environment, the country worker, and the consumer. With this documentary, comes a big question on which we must think: In which world do we want to live in? The poisoned world of the 'aggro-business' or the world of freedom and agricultural diversity?

About the Atlas of Environmental Justice

Across the world communities are struggling to defend their earth, air water and resources and their livelihoods from damaging environmental impacts. Mining projects, mega dams, tree plantations, fracking, gas flaring, incinerators, etc … As resources needed to fuel our economy move through the commodity chain from extraction, processing and disposal, environmental impacts are externalized onto the most marginalized populations. But all this takes place far from the eyes of the consumers of the end-products. The EJ atlas aims to make these impacts more visible and to make the case for true corporate and state accountability for the injustices inflicted through their activities.

This Atlas collects stories from around the world of communities struggling for environmental justice. It attempts to serve as a virtual space for those working on EJ issues to get information, find other groups working on related issues, and increase the visibility of environmental conflicts.

Monsanto manufactures the genetically modified seeds that, when combined with toxic pesticides, create the devastating 'monocultures' -- where nothing grows but a single plant -- that increasingly cover our planet. Now they plan to build one of the world's largest GM seed factories in Malvinas. Signing this petition helps to push the Argentine President to shut down the plant and roll back the spread of Monsanto's toxic agriculture.

In Romenia the campaign "Save Rosia Montana" has prevented a law from being passed which proposed to destroy 4 mountains for mining purposes. As a consequence 2064 private properties would be relocated, 975 houses torn down, (out of which 41 houses are considered national heritage sites) 7 churches demolished, blown up, or covered by the cyanide pond, 11 cemeteries and relocated.
