Madalena Cid Teles


Biography

Madalena Cid Teles is a researcher at the Permanent Observatory for Justice (OPJ) of the Centre for Social Studies (CES) at the University of Coimbra (UC), where she has worked as a Junior Researcher on projects evaluating public justice policies and the digitalization of justice. She is also part of the "FRANET - Multidisciplinary Research Network of the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union (2022-2026)." She began her academic journey in Law, completing her degree at UC's Faculty of Law in 2020, before shifting to Sociology, where she earned her Master's degree from the Faculty of Economics in 2023. In 2024, she was accepted into the PhD program in Sociology at FEUC and awarded a doctoral scholarship funded by the FCT (ID 2024.02036.BD) to pursue her research in the sociology of law, focusing on issues related to child protection and welfare systems.
