The Programme offered 28 scholarships on a competitive basis between 2013 and 2017. Scholarships covered tuition fees and included a monthly allowance.

For the 2019-2020 academic year the Programme will offer 2 scholarships on a competitive basis under the same conditions as before. The call for applications is available here. Provisional ranked list (minutes)

CES is the scientific host institution for students of the PhD Programmes in the application procedures for funding lines in the area.

The International Relations Unit of the University of Coimbra (DRIUC) regularly issues calls for mobility grants.

All students are encouraged to seek funding sources that are appropriate to their individual profile and to the subject matter of their research project. CES provides support in the various phases of the application process, from the verification of the eligibility conditions, to the process of issuing/verifying the documents supporting the application and reviewing the projects.
